Windycon IX

Held from December 10-12, 1982 at the Lincolnwood Hyatt (Purple Hotel) in Lincolnwood, IL. Guests of Honor: Frederik Pohl, Jack Williamson. Chair: Dick Spelman. The con had the theme "A Holiday Relaxicon."

Although normally a full-blown convention, in the wake of Chicon 5, Windycon IX was run as a relaxicon with minimal programming and no film room. There were dealers, an art show, and parties
