The World Science Fiction Convention was held in conjunction with the Japan Science Fiction Convention (Nihon SF Taikai).
Bidders (for Worldcon): Nippon in 2007, DC in 007.
Nippon 2007 initially reported a loss of about $40,000, but at the 2011 Smofcon increased the estimate to at least $70,000 while announcing a new bid for 2017.
