New Wave Fandom

This term was self-applied by some Australian fans who sought to shake up the establishment.

James Allen and Phil Wlodarczyk put an oddly-shaped piece of laminated cardboard through ANZAPA, and succeeded in upsetting at least one other fan to the extent of attempting, unsuccessfully, to tear up a copy, although that response may have been prompted by the content rather than the format. (It was deemed to be a completely legal submission.)

The Good Fairies Handbook by Ian Gunn is self-described as "A New Wave fandom publication".
