Icarus Award

The Icarus Award, given annually by The British Fantasy Society, was established in 1987. It appears to be no longer awarded.

The award is for the most promising newcomer to the field. Many genre experts see it as the British equivalent of the John W. Campbell Award in the United States.

The first winner was Carl Ford.
