A prolific US fan artist who also had a substantial pro career. He was twice GoH at the Worldcon: FGoH at MidAmeriCon in 1976 and Artist GoH at ConAdian in 1994. He and won the 1968 Best Fan Artist Hugo and the 1969 Best Fan Artist Hugo and was nominated three additional times (1967, 1970, and 1975). He was nominated for Best Professional Artist in 1976 and 1977. He did all six illustrations for a 1960 fannish calendar. His first professional illustration was the cover of the March 1961 Fantastic. His preferred medium is a combination of ball-point pen and watercolor.
