FenCon VIII

Held from September 23-25, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Addison, Texas. Guests of Honor: Gail Carriger, Joe Bethancourt, Vincent Di Fate, Steven H Silver, Les Johnson. Toastmaster: Bradley Denton. Chair: Julie Barrett. The con had the theme "Southern Steam." It had about 900 members.

Vincent di Fate was unable to attend in person, but participated via internet. The guest list was augmented by special guests Stephan Martiniere and Lou Anders.

FenCon VIII also hosted DeepSouthCon 49. Brad Foster received the Rebel Award, Selina Rosen received the Phoenix Award, and Bill Parker received the Rubble Award.
