Fan Writer

A fan writer is someone who writes for fun and egoboo rather than for profit (which is a pro writer.) Fan writing runs the gamut from amateurish (in the bad sense) fan fiction to high-quality writing by accomplished writers, some of whom also write professionally.

Fan writing is about fandom, SF, and things fans are interested in — namely, everything.
