Denver in 1941

A bid for the 1941 Worldcon by Olon F. Wiggins and Lew Martin which beat a New York in 1941 bid at Chicon I. See 1941 Site Selection results.

Wiggins and Martin hopped a freight train to get to Chicon I to attend and bid.

It should be made clear that this was in no way an organized bid. A Worldcon was a couple hundred people, max, and did not require much preparation or an exotic venue, so it was perfectly practical to bid first and get a site afterwards.

This is a stub bid page. Please extend it by adding information about who was bidding, officers, committee list, what they were bidding for, who their opponents were, and anything notable about the bid, etc.
