DC in 007

A short-lived bid to bring the 2007 Worldcon to Washington, DC. They were not on the site selection ballot.

They said of themselves: "The DC in 007 Bid Committee will have a brand-new Washington Convention Center and a license to thrill. To finance our bold bid, we will be printing our own fannish currency featuring portraits of well-known SF pros and fans. If you collect twenty-five Fan Bucks and vote, you will receive a free membership conversion when we win the bid in 2004."
