ConDiego

NASFiC 5.
ConDiego, Labor Day weekend 1990, San Diego, California Omni Hotel, San Diego Convention & Performing Arts Center

Guests of Honor: Samuel R. Delany (pro), Ben Yalow (fan). Chairman: Albert Lafreniere II. Attendees: 3000

The convention became a byword for haphazard con-running after fans were handed a typo-riddled Program Book which misspelled the hotel’s name, the guests of honors’ names and even the con’s own name as ConDigeo. Most fans responded with a…fannish…sense of humor. The best, probably, was "My name is ConDigeo Montoya. You killed my weekend. Prepare to die!"
