Originally, a book's bibliographic data (publisher, copyright date, etc.) at the end of the book or on the back of the title page. In fannish usage, a few lines (or more) of information about a fanzine, usually found at or near the beginning. The colophon usually includes: zine title, issue number, publication date, editor's name, publishing house, subscription information and other described ways of getting the publication (see also The Usual), and miscellaneous useful information. Some colophons are more interesting than the zines in which they are found.
