7 in '77

Seven in '77 was a bid for the 1977 Worldcon where the bid committee (Don Lundry, Elliot Shorter, …) offered itself as an experienced group of con-runners who would, if selected, use their leverage as a seated Worldcon to locate a first-rate site and negotiate a good deal. They won at Aussiecon I and proceeded to select a site in Orlando, FL.

Unfortunately, the hotel went bankrupt and the committee was forced to move the convention to the Hotel Fountainbleu in Miami Beach, FL where they ran Suncon.
