1956 Most Promising New Author Hugo

The 1956 Most Promising New Author Hugo was presented September 3 at NyCon II. This third year of the Hugos there was for the first time a shortlist of nominees, with the winner selected by voting by the members of the convention. Silverberg was a clear winner and voting was not needed at the convention.
